With this New Year already pressing ahead, it’s hard to believe all that we managed to achieve in the Olympic year of 2012; but achieve it we did.
Amongst all the excitement we developed a whole new system for the American market and we then opened up the first Creditsafe office outside Europe with our brand new operation going live in Allentown Pennsylvania in September. In just 3 months we’ve already signed up more than 500 customers in the US and feel we’re making a real impact over there. Alongside this we also launched our pioneering 3D Ledger product across the Group; I was delighted to be able to present this fantastic solution to audiences in London, Stockholm and Paris over the summer.
Here in the UK, Creditsafe was named as one of the Sunday Times’ 100 Best Companies to Work For in 2012 and as part of our 15th birthday celebrations, 475 staff from across the Group were flown to Majorca for a very memorable thank you break. And it is thanks to them that we have seen an exceptional growth in revenues of 27% across the Group in 2012 while we also delivered a staggering 42m business credit reports to our 56,000 customers making us easily the most-used supplier in Europe.
As a company we can be proud of last year’s achievements, but we are now focused on the year ahead and building on our success. So what does 2013 hold both for us and for our customers?
- In the current climate we recognise both the opportunity and risks presented by international trade. As we continue to expand internationally – we’ll be opening up our own office in Italy in the spring and are looking to add up to another 20 countries to our Creditsafe Country offering. We’ve also got ambitions to deepen the breadth of our international product suite extending access to international prospect data, building deeper and broader linkage solutions for both companies and directors and making sure these are available to all of our customers giving them the opportunity to grow on the widest possible stage.
- Our 3D Ledger product has already been integrated into the systems of nearly 1,000 companies across Europe and we are pushing ahead in our ambition to create the world’s largest payment information database. As CEO, I am proud that all of our business information packages give our customers of all sizes access to both domestic and international company information, as well as marketing prospect data and the ability to track their portfolio’s credit risk in one affordable package. I really do want everyone to feel the benefit of improved business intelligence.
There is plenty more to come from Creditsafe this year and I really believe that we can continue to change the way that business information is used. Watch this space!
