Elliot Van Emden was fired from ‘The Apprentice’ last week, followed by Siobhan Smith in this week’s episode but according to Creditsafe research, on paper, Elliot had the credentials to win the show.
Elliot, who is a current director of Bridgewood Legal Limited, which operates in legal services was the third person to be fired from the hit TV show, with Lord Sugar taking a dislike to his attitude. His company, Bridgewood Legal Limited was only incorporated in August 2015 and is already profitable according to the company’s latest 2016 financial statements. The company posted results which suggest they made a profit in the first years trading of £27,005. The company’s balance sheet is strong, both short term; which is reflected within the company’s positive working capital position, and long term, which shows the company has more total assets than liabilities.
Elliot’s business has a Creditsafe company credit score of 95, meaning it is at very low risk of becoming insolvent.
With Elliot out of the running for the £250,000 investment from Lord Sugar, our prediction as to who could potentially win the show based on their business experience is Elizabeth Mckenna.
The quirky florist has rubbed a few people up the wrong way (especially Siobhan) during the 4 weeks the show has been airing, however she seems very set on structure, finances and facts. Thrown into the spotlight last night as sub team leader, Elizabeth dodged Lord Sugar’s firing fury.
Elizabeth has five current appointments. Two of these appointments are new start-ups, however Flowers by Susan Ltd is the most successful business that Elizabeth is appointed too. Flowers by Susan Ltd was incorporated in 2008 and has a net worth of nearly £30,000. The latest financial statement for 2016 shows a strong balance sheet position with the latest results suggesting a profit was made in the latest year. Also the company’s total debts have reduced in the latest trading period which is another positive aspect.
As the show intensifies, more characters are coming out of the woodwork to defend their place in the process and the pace is heating up!
